BIOGRAPHY

Painter, born in 1947.

Taught drawing and painting, University of Stellenbosch, Dept. of Creative Arts.

Born in Glasgow, and raised in South Africa, Paul specializes in drawings of animals and plants. His first foray into portraits led him to draw the daughter of the owner of the Balatro Gallery. His second, led him to win the BP National Portrait Award, London in 2007.

Paul has exhibited all over the world including the South African National Gallery, British Museum and Northwestern University, Chicago. His prizes include Silver Award for Works on Paper, British Interior Design Association, Singer and Friedlander Sunday Times Watercolor Competition winner 2002 and UWE Drawing prize, RWA Autumn Exhibition 2008.
